3 SKIN CARE TIPS FOR YOUR TIME OF THE MONTH

how to take care of your skin on your period or time of the month acne pimples breaking out tips tricks help face neck products

As a woman, getting your period is inevitable. Everything hurts, our bellies act like a bottomless pit and to top it off…. we start to break out. Skin fluctuates just as easily as our moods (we apologize in advance lol).

Here are some things you can do to take care of your skin during your time of the month. We got you.

Tip 1 - Double Cleanse

During your ovulation phase, estrogen levels are at its peak causing an overproduction of oil. It's a good idea to keep your makeup light and double cleanse to balance out your oil production!

Tip 2 - Incorporate Salicylic Acid

When PMS starts, your progesterone levels are high! You may see dry skin & uneven skin tone. Switch to a cleanser with salicylic acid to fight bad skin before your period, follow with nourishing moisturizer.

Tip 3 - Use a Vitamin C Serum

Your period is finally here! This means estrogen and progesterone levels are low and your skin will tend to feel more sensitive. Use fragrance-free products, SPF and vitamin C serum! Cutting back on carbs is also a great way to control hormonal fluctuation

Until next time
